The countdown is officially on. Tomorrow, August 7th, marks the official release of Ode to the Popo, our highly anticipated stop-motion collaboration with musical artist Jerius Shing.
For months, our studio has been locked down executing the final frames, soundscapes, and international logistics required to bring this visual piece to life. Bringing a stop-motion project from a concept sketch to the screen requires an obsessive level of detail—something our team has lived and breathed alongside Jerius every step of the way.
Behind the Craft
Building Ode to the Popo wasn't about cutting corners; it was about honouring the texture of physical media and stop motion meidum. From coordinating custom figure assets to the Handcrafted vision of Director Kaelon Amor, to fine-tuning the frame-by-frame and layering the audio production, every second of this project has been engineered to deliver a distinct, modern retro atmosphere.
Our partnership with Jerius Shing marked the early stages of this concept and perfectly matched the atmosphere of the music he's been producing. As northern artists representing Bradford, this collaboration was long overdue, be sure to explore the music of his upcoming and catalogue of work:
